Flax ‘Egg’ for Baking

An amazing egg replacement for baking and other adhesive uses.

Before I went vegan, I always thought that being a vegan meant no cakes, cookies, brownies… anything delicious. How wrong I was!!! If I’d of known you can still have all those tasty things, I would of done it a long time ago!

A flax egg is an amazing egg replacer that acts as a binder in baking recipes.

You only need two ingredients – milled flax seeds, and water!

Here’s how you do it 🙂

Ingredients (1 egg)

  • 1 tbsp milled flax seeds
  • 3 tbsp hot water

Method

  1. Vigorously mix together the two ingredients for 2 minutes.
  2. Leave to sit in your fridge for 15-30 minutes, to thicken.
  3. DONE! You are now ready to make delicious sweet treats 🙂
